Providers we use

ProfileSignal calls OpenAI models for text extraction, evidence assessment, positioning, profile generation, and image generation. Requests are made server-side using a securely stored key.

What we send

Your uploaded LinkedIn PDF text, the answers you provide and, for headshots, the reference photos you upload. We never send analytics, billing, or account credentials to model providers.

Retention with the provider

Standard requests are made with store disabled where the provider supports it. Long-running background requests may be temporarily retained by the provider to allow status polling and delivery via webhooks. That retention is bounded by the provider's own policy and is not used to train third-party models.

No model training

Your content is not used to train OpenAI's or any third party's public models.

LinkedIn data

Basic LinkedIn sign-in provides only your name, email and profile photo. Those fields are stored on your ProfileSignal profile and are not sent to model providers on their own. If you opt into the optional LinkedIn Member Data Portability import (when available), the imported profile domains are shown to you for verification and are then treated the same as PDF or pasted text: sent to OpenAI models with store: false for standard calls, and never used to train third-party models. You can revoke the LinkedIn connection and delete the imported records at any time.

Your controls

You can delete any source file, any generated output, or your entire account at any time.
